While on the surface, the World Cup games seem to be executed well; here are some behind the scenes information. There will be increase in security in the Maracanã stadium during the remaining time due to increased congestion and confusion. It became more delicate as there was a discrepancy at the stadium following the June 18th, Wednesday game of Chile vs Spain game. As the game took place in Maracanã stadium, approximately 100 Chileans forced their way past security and attempted to take down barriers in order to enter the stadium. It resulted into 85 Chileans arrested from the outcome. There was an also an incident on the Argentina vs Bosnia-Herzegovina game, June 15th where ten Argentines were detained after attempting to jump fences.

These incidents have resulted in approximately five hundred new officers to be surrounding the stadium in order to obtain security. As only a partial number of those officers are capable to assist in language barriers, this will be to aid tourists who get lost in the confusions of the stadiums organization.

It is recommended to be cautious of the latest traffic congestion as several public transportation has been rerouted. For those who plan to attend any following games at the Maracanã stadium, ask for assistance in case of confusion during the games that take place on July 4th and the Final on July 13th.
