The third edition of ArtRua will be running from 11 to 14 September at Centro Cultural Ação da Cidadania in Gamboa, in Centro showing unpublished work of several national and international artists. The event is free. The big news is that this year the event gains status with space for fair trade works and art projects.
The ArtRua happens again parallel to ArtRio. Part of the fair features up to 20 national and international galleries, among them, one of the most prestigious of France; Cultural shock. Other galleries featured include A7MA, from São Paulo; Nuvem, from Pernambuco; Quarto Amado from Belo Horizonte, besides Rio Huma, Movimento and Gallery 95, from Rio; and more. The space will also have stands with solo exhibitions and installations of artists like Antonio Bokel and Acidum Project, from Fortaleza. The exhibition will be composed of seven giant mural signed by artists from different cities of the world - the largest ever made by Art Street - The London Police (Netherlands), Seth Globepaint (France), Ana Marieta (Puerto Rico), Ramon ( Belo Horizonte), Toz (Rio de Janeiro), Bicicleta sem Freio (Goiania) and Branco (São Paulo) will all be on the list.
The curator was taken by Instagrafite, the largest collaborative network of urban art in the world, which has just reached the milestone of one million followers. As in previous editions, apart from the official exhibition, ArtRua will also host a series of artistic interventions and external actions, spread by Gamboa and surrounding communities. In addition to panels on walls near the Cultural Center, for the first time, the event will feature painting gables (side of building), created by international artists: El Seed (France / Tunisia) and Inti (Chile) and national Acidum Project (Fortaleza) and Gais AMA (Rio de Janeiro).
