Chancery Lane consists of dynamic duo Kevin Wynter and Yemi McEwen. The boys started out singing the music they grew up knowing and loving, namely R&B, but have now adopted their own style of singing in their own voices, rather than the typical American style that most singers do, creating a fresh blend of R&B banger/Urban Indie-pop music.
Gaining insight from former SClub7 member radley Mcintosh, the two have come a long way developing their style and abilities. They have had a wealth of experience in great venues across the country, from the o2 to the Hammersmith Apollo, and have also opened for some massive acts (The Game, Taio Cruz, Flo Rida, Sean Kingson, Musiq Soulchild and many more).

Ben Newbury is a singer/songwriter who lives for music, 'a world without music would be a pretty awful world to live in'. With vast musical influences including the likes of solo artists such as Bon Iver, Bob Dylan, Pete Doherty running through to some of the most well known bands in musical history including The Beatles, The Smiths, The Libertines, The Enemy, The Rifles, just to name a few. Having such an eclectic taste certainly reflects within his music from the use of the picked 12 string acoustic guitar down to the rhythms and melodies of the electric guitar and piano. Having fallen in love with music and singing from an early age he later picked up his first guitar at the age of 15 and decided he was going to teach himself, and has never looked back since.
Having a BA HONS degree in the arts has helped him grow as a performer and a writer; his lyrics are seemingly poetic and truthful being influenced by love, life and the simplest dreams, day dreams, thoughts or actions. He takes us on a journey within the story of his own life 'beyond the land where wildest dreams are free' as seen in the songs 'A song for you' and you and I'.

About the event:
American singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist Andrew Bird lands in Rio as part of a tour curated by his fans via a crowdfunding initiative whereby the cities with the most pledges from fans were chosen to host his shows. The talented Silva and his array of modern bossa nova compositions opening the bill is a bonus attraction in a show centred around the traditions of classic folk.
Trained in the Suzuki method for violin from the age of four, Bird is no stranger to skilful fiddle playing and the musicianship shines from his songs. Early exposure to classical music, jazz and blues have all influenced his sound, though, and 2012 saw the release of two longplayers, the second of which, the modestly titled Hands of Glory, marked the seventh release of an ever-evolving career.
